Noor is a Dutch visual artist.
| The
blast furnace factories and the large steel production halls are deserted.
Noor van Os notices them and becomes fascinated by their complex lines
and inaccessibility. Despite their grandeur and splendor, they are in
decline. Noor feels challenged to visualize graphically the gigantic industrial
buildings and workplaces. Noor is unique among female artists in conceiving this heritage, preserving it on canvas and bringing it back to life. The artist encounters the old industry, iron ore factories, blast furnaces once the future symbols of the 18th and 19th centuries and gives testimony. They fell into dicline in the 20th century, some revalued and classified as World Heritage Sites to preserve their memory for new generations. In her own way, Noor pays tribute and gives shape to a past industrial period in graphic tones. |

De hoogoven fabrieken en de grote staalproductiehallen liggen er verlaten bij. Noor van Os merkt ze op en raakt geboeid door hun complex lijnenspel en ongenaakbaarheid.Ze zijn ondanks hun grootsheid en pracht in verval. Noor voelt zich uitgedaagd om op grafische wijze de gigantische industriële gebouwen en werkplaatsen in beeld te brengen. Noor is uniek onder de vrouwelijke kunstenaars om dit erfgoed te concipiëren, op doek te bewaren en weer tot leven te brengen. De artist ontmoet de oude industrie, ijzerertsfabrieken, hoogovens ooit de toekomstsymbolen uit de 18de en 19de eeuw en legt getuigenis af. Ze zijn in de 20ste eeuw in verval geraakt, sommige geherwaardeerd en tot werelderfgoed geklasseerd om de herinnering eraan voor nieuwe generaties te bewaren. Noor brengt op haar wijze een ode en geeft in grafische toonaarden gestalte aan een vergane industriële periode. |

Gorky
When
a picture is a conversation.
Arshile
Gorky - Armenian-born - American Painter 1904-1948.
His mother died in his loving embracing arms, in hardship and starvation in
Yerevan in 1919 when Gorky was 15 years old.
He escaped the Armenian genocide, but the past never let go and drove him
forward. His work rooted in his personal history.
In 1947 he created, expressive and with compassion, 'Agony'. Life strain drove
him into his own dead in 1948.
His impressions of life and in touch of life essentials, he brushed and coloured
it in his paintings.
'Agony' and 'The artist and his Mother' are two arttreasures.
